Remembering Lew Helys 1951-2015

  Remembering Lew Helys (middle fiqure)  a friend and contributor on various shows with Raiders FM throughout the years. Lew a firm supporter of Raiders as a Pirate Channel in the mid 80s. He Listened to Presenters Jan Kooper, Chris Mitchell, Adrian Lacey and Peter Andrews programmes. Lew was a keen music lover which included one of his favourites The Smiths.

A Giant Amongst Men. When we heard that Lewis Helyes had passed away, everybody who knew him and were associated with Raidersbroadcast were deeply shocked. Battersea Art Centre: Fire/ Reaction.

    More than £17,000 has been raised less than 24 hours after a fire ripped through Battersea Arts Centre in south London. About 30% of the first and second floors of the Grade II listed property were destroyed and the roof collapsed. No-one was injured.
