David Bowie the most influential Pop Artist of our time

Born David Jones in London in 1947 in Brixton, he picked up the saxophone aged 13 and began singing with his first band at 15 before rising to fame in 1969 with Space Oddity.

Bowie’s website’s biography describes him as someone who “elevated his music to what can only be described as an art form.”

He released 26 studio albums, 9 live albums, 46 compilation albums, 5 EPs and 111 singles. Five of his songs reached number one in the UK charts.

Bowie lead the way in from 1971- 1980 re inventing himself on most of his Album covers.Changing and leading with his Music. His Fashion style was a leading statement to millions of fans spanning 6 decades.

His vision and ability to lead  stood him out from the rest of the Musicians and Bands of his time and today.
