Molly Fox McOwan

My name is Molly Fox McOwan and I am a professional voice artist and actress, I have also started a Kate Bush tribute band in which I am the all singing all dancing Ms Bush. I have worked for people like Disney, MTV, Sky and BBC all of which have been great fun. I am a huge music lover and have a very diverse music taste especially for someone my age, I’m not really into much music in the charts. My ultimate musical love is Kate Bush who I just love and admire to be like, I also went to see her live show last year which was the best 17th birthday present I could of asked for. Other loves include; Fleetwood Mac who I am also going to see this summer and am extremely excited for, David Bowie, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Blondie who I went to see last summer also. Then I am also a big fan of rock bands including; Rush, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, ACDC and many more. I also enjoy yoga, walking, meditation and painting when I am not listening to music and am also a great movie lover and enjoy the cinema. As I mentioned earlier I was one of those lucky people who got to see Kate Bush last year and I was completely blown away the only word that comes to mind when I think about is simply WOW!!

When I first arrived at the Hammersmith Apollo with my mum I was so nervous that I was actually going to see Kate Bush! then when we got inside it was fantastic to see all the KB fans and I felt so privilidged to be sharing this amazing night with them. I will never forget when Kate walked onto the stage barefoot and in black with the most amazing long dark hair, she just oozed coolness. Walking in time to Lily leading on her backing singers and son Bertie it was just the most stylish entrance I’d seen, I couldn’t help but swell with emotion. Followed by Hounds of Love and the Joanni I was in musical heaven, the band were amazing and all so cool and of course Kate herself looked and sounded phenomanal her voice was more powerful then ever and everything she did she just looked amazing. The theatrics throughout the show were second to none, I only wish I was on the bottom floor by the stage as Kate got carried through the audience during a underwater graveyard scene. Costumes and acting and the whole stage show swept me away so I forgot I was even in a concert it was something else something that hasn’t been done before and that I don’t feel many could pull of with such excellence as Kate did. I cried again during And dream of sheep as it was such a touching experience and I loved all the finishing touches I didn’t want the first act to end but then couldn’t wait for the second.

I felt incredibly uplifted through out the second half and a bit that sticks out in my mind is when guitarist David Rhodes and Kate Bush did a winged dance while David was wearing a truly beautiful mask, it was captivating and very exciting. Almost as excting as when Kate flew she truly is awesome. I very much enjoyed Bertie’s song Tawney Moon and loved the interaction between them on stage you could feel the mother son love that brought Kate back to the stage. During the painter scenes the decor of the stage was stunning and the costumes once again utterly beautiful. I think for me my favourite back drop was the trees one of which actually went through the piano, it looked wonderful and kate songs throughout were fantastic! Throughout the concert you could see happiness radiating from Kates face and she kept thanking the audience which was so lovely to see and really heart warming I’m so grateful to have been there.

There is nothing we like better then to see Kate sat at the piano singing I sat and felt like she was singing to me as her voice just completely captivates me, I didn’t want it to end. So when Kate came back and sang Cloudbusting the roar of the audience was crazy, all singing along to the chorus line shouting as loud as we could it was the perfect end song to a mind blowing night that will stay with me forever as the greatest concert I have and will ever go to.
