Newsraid : Pink Tree in Wimbledon!

We met today by the pink tree in Wimbledon!

I thought I’d right to tell you a bit about what I am up to with the pink tree and why!

I recently graduated from Wimbledon College of Art and the local organisation Love Wimbledon Ltd saw my art work at the degree show and were drawn by the bright colours, patterns and shapes I used in my work.

The tree outside the station is dead and can only be replaced in November when it is planting season so in the mean time Love Wimbledon commissioned me to make the dead tree happy and also use it to advertise the Autumn Arts Festival which is taking place in Wimbledon on the 13th & 14th 20th &21st and 27th & 28th of September.

Its a great project and has sparked a lot of conversations with the locals as well as brightening up the town centre! I will be working on it until the end of the week so do pop back to see the progress if you can!!
